To make sure your toddler gets all the nutrition they need for their healthy growth and development it is important for them to have a balance of food from all of the five food groups, see our Guidance & Tips sheet on Combining Foods for tips on how to do this.

Offering your toddler 3 meals and 2-3 snacks per day gives several opportunities to offer this range of foods. It's also important to remember to offer six to eight drinks per day to your toddler.
